Paulo Montezuma received the Ph.D. degree from Faculdade de Ciências e Tecnologia -Universidade Nova de Lisboa, Portugal. Currently he is professor at FCT-UNL. Since 2001 he is researcher at UNINOVA and in 2013 he joined Instituto de Telecomunicac~oes. He has been actively involved in several international research projects in the wireless communications area. He published one book, over 40 journal papers (IET, IEEE, Springer and Elsevier), 3 book chapters and over 100 conference papers and 14 patents. His main research activities are on transmitter design, energy optimization, coding and receiver design, namely for MIMO systems based on OFDM and SC-FDE modulations.
